Floracle is a botanical oracle and field botany game for iPhone. This policy describes what data the app collects, how it is used, and what it does not do.
Floracle collects no personal information. The app does not require an account, does not request your name or email address, and does not identify you in any way.
Your game progress — plants collected in your garden, challenge categories unlocked, and oracle rounds completed — is stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
Floracle requests permission to save images to your iPhone's photo library. This permission is used solely to save flower images to your Photos app when you choose to do so by long-pressing a plant image. The app does not read from your photo library, access your existing photos, or upload any images anywhere.
If you decline photo library permission, all features of the app continue to function normally — only the save-to-photos feature will be unavailable.
Floracle includes optional links to iNaturalist (inaturalist.org), a third-party nature observation platform, to display range maps for individual plant species. Tapping these links opens the iNaturalist website in Safari. Floracle does not share any data with iNaturalist, and any data collected by iNaturalist after you leave the app is governed by their own privacy policy.
Floracle contains no analytics software, no advertising networks, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We do not know how you use the app, how often you open it, or which plants you have collected.
Floracle does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. The app collects no personal data from any user regardless of age.
If this policy changes in a future version of the app, the updated policy will be posted at this URL and the "last updated" date above will reflect the change.
